I will take you on senic hikes along the Sandy River to fish from the bank for some of the Pacific Northwest's most prized game fish. Hikes will vary between 1 mile to 5 miles depending on a number of factors. Along with the opportunity to catch Salmon and Steelhead, wildlife sightings are abundant, and it's not uncommon to see deer, elk, bald eagles, osprey, owls, and other woodland creatures. All fishing gear will be provided. You will need to bring a valid Oregon fishing license, with Salmon/Steelhead tags, and a Columbia River Basin Endorsement, as well as appropriate shoes and clothing for a hike in the season you book your trip. I highly reccomend booking your trip in the peak season for the fish you would like to target.
Peak seasons are as follows:
Winter Steelhead: December-March
Summer Steelhead: April-July
Spring Chinook: May-July
Coho Salmon: September-November
There are a number of factors that can cause these seasons to vary, and catching a fish is never a guarantee, but getting you into a fish will always be the priority. For your best chances don't book too far in advance, and always contact me before booking. Thanks, and I look forward to getting you out on the river.

About the Guide or Gear Owner

I've been an angler in the Pacific Northwest my entire life. I spend a lot of time on the banks of the Sandy River. I know where, when, and how to fish any hole on the river. Bank angling is where my experience lies as I don't own a boat. I'm offering fishing adventures that are off the beaten path. Most spots will be a 1-2 mile hike in through deep wilderness, with the chance of seeing some amazing wildlife and the guarantee that you will see some breathtaking scenery.
